Preamble & Overview

This Refund Policy ("Policy") is issued by Arahastores Havuna Ent. Ltd. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our"), the registered operator of Duke Music, accessible at dukemusic.net (the "Platform"). This Policy governs all requests for refunds, returns, reversals, or credits arising from transactions conducted on the Platform.

This Policy forms an integral part of the Duke Music Terms and Conditions ("T&C") and must be read in conjunction with those Terms. All defined terms used but not defined herein shall carry the meanings assigned to them in the T&C.

BY COMPLETING ANY PURCHASE ON THE PLATFORM, YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREED TO THIS REFUND POLICY IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE PAYMENT WAS MADE.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Duke Music sells exclusively digital products. All sales are considered final at the moment of payment confirmation and download access generation. Refunds are the exception, not the rule, and are granted only under the strictly limited circumstances defined in this Policy.

1. Nature of Digital Goods

Digital goods are fundamentally different from physical products in ways that make the standard concept of a "return" inapplicable:

  • A digital file, once downloaded or accessed, cannot be "returned."
  • Digital music files are instantly usable and replicable from the moment of download.
  • Allowing refunds would expose the Company to systematic abuse.
  • Commercial licenses are paid for regardless of whether end-user refunds are issued.

ALL SALES OF DIGITAL MUSIC ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE.

2. General No-Refund Rule

NO REFUND SHALL BE ISSUED ONCE PAYMENT HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY PROCESSED AND THE PURCHASED DIGITAL CONTENT HAS BEEN MADE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD OR STREAMING.

The following situations DO NOT qualify for a refund:

Change of Mind
Dissatisfaction with Artistic Quality
AI-Generated Nature of Content
Incompatibility with Device/Software
Accidental Purchase
Failure to Use
Pricing Disagreement
Third-Party Network Issues
License Limitations
Expiry of Download Links

3. Pre-Purchase Responsibilities

Before completing any purchase, Users are expected to:

  • Listen carefully to the audio preview provided.
  • Review all product metadata (genre, tempo, mood).
  • Confirm the license type matches your intended use.
  • Verify audio file format support on your devices.
  • Confirm the purchase price and currency.
  • Review this Refund Policy and the Terms and Conditions.

4. Limited Exceptions

1Technical Delivery Failure

If content was not delivered after 24 hours and reported within 72 hours of payment confirmation by Paystack.

2Duplicate Charge

If charged more than once for the exact same product in a single transaction session due to a verified technical error.

3Materially Incorrect Product

If the delivered file is a completely different track or is technically unplayable/corrupted.

5. How to Submit a Request

Mandatory Pre-Condition: Contact Before Chargeback

You MUST first submit a formal refund request through the official support contact and allow 5 business days for investigation.

Required Information:

  • Full name and registered email
  • Paystack transaction reference number
  • Date and time of purchase
  • Name of the track(s) purchased
  • Specific exception claimed (1, 2, or 3)
  • Factual description of the issue

6. Approved Refund Processing

Method: All refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Paystack.

Timeline: Approval decision within 10 business days. Card refunds typically reflect within 7-14 business days.

7. Chargebacks & Disputes

Unauthorized chargebacks are viewed as a serious violation. Consequences include permanent account termination, license revocation, and reporting to fraud monitoring systems.

8. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Policy excludes statutory rights under the FCCPA 2018 in Nigeria or other mandatory international consumer protections.

9. Fraudulent Claims

Fabricated refund claims result in immediate account termination and potential civil legal action for recovery of damages.

10. Modifications

The Company reserves the right to update this Policy at any time. Changes take effect upon posting on the Platform.

11. Relationship to T&C

This Policy is incorporated by reference into the Duke Music Terms and Conditions. In case of conflict, this Policy governs refund-specific matters.
